A Day for Peace
A Day for Peace
Next Wednesday, 9th March School Council will be holding ‘A Day for Peace’.
As a school, our thoughts are with the many refugee children who have had to leave their homes in Ukraine.
We will be collecting money for the DEC – The Disasters Emergency Committee, which is supporting the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
The UK Government will match the first £20 million of donations.
We are kindly asking pupils to give a minimum donation of £1.
We thank you for your support.
PTA Mother’s Day Market
The PTA are very happy to say the Mother’s Day Market is back this year!!
For those new to the school, children can purchase a small gift for a Mum / Nan/ Aunties/ Carer etc for Mother’s Day (as many as you would like) for £3 each. We have a wide range of lovely gifts that the children choose themselves and write a label for their gift too.
Payment is via parent pay (cash not accepted sorry) with a cut off date of the 16th March.
Members of the PTA help the children to choose the gifts, and as you can imagine, with so many children, this is very time consuming, so we are always on the look-out for help from parents (for this and all other activities that we do). If you can spare an hour to help out please can you message Sally on 07737271907, and we can add you to the group. It’s not a huge commitment to join the PTA, but very rewarding when you see what the school gets out of the money we raise!
Thanks for your continued support

Red Nose Day
On Friday 18 March, we at Baglan Primary have the power to change lives. Children can wear Red Noses, Red Clothes or Red Nose merchandise to school. We are selling Red Noses around the classes from Wednesday 3rd March. They are £1.50 each. You will be helping people living incredibly tough lives and that is pretty incredible in our book.
